Florietta (Perry) Gullins

Remembering Florietta

Florietta Perry was born on April 8, 1957 to Floretta and Ransom Perry at the DC General Hospital in Washington, DC.  Florietta was raised in the nation's capitol where she was educated in the public school system.  She graduated from Cardozo High School in Northwest Washington, DC.

Upon graduation, she entered the health care profession by training as a medical technician.  After 22 years of dedicated and passionate service to her patients,  she retired from Southern Maryland Hospital.

It was during Florietta's tenure at Southern Maryland Hospital that she met her future husband, Sigman Gullins.  Fortunately, the last 12 years of her life were spent in a mutually joyous and happy marriage.

Some of her favorite pastimes were traveling, reading and watching television.

Florietta is survived by her husband, Sigman Gullins; two daughters, Priscilla and Exzurbia; a brother, Ransom Perry, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floretta and Ransom Perry.
